Funky Fashion Statements - Parody Bag

Believe it or not the Anya Hindmarch spoofs are still coming thick and fast. Maybe not quite with the same level of intensity as we saw a year ago, but I want to collect the set and the latest I’ve spotted is the ‘I’m not a douche bag’ bag.

Unlike the bag it parodies, this tote makes no bogus claims to greenness and I’m not going to make any on its behalf. But if you think it would make an amusing alternative to plastic, you can buy it for $19.99 at Cafe Press

Giant Diaper (or Smock) Chair - You Call it

Smock collection shows such detail and intricacy with fabric yet it has an otherwise modern and simple silhouette…if I had loads of cash, I’d probably already own this or any one of Urquiola’s other pieces, but for now I’ll have to make do by pretending I have my pick.

“patricia urquiola loves playing with textures, as you can see in her smock line of furniture. urquiola bunches up the upholstery around hoops and round frames, giving the smock line a modern look with a rich and almost antique feel.”

Big Bro Again - Billboards Gather Info for Database

Now, some entrepreneurs have introduced technology to solve that problem. They are equipping billboards with tiny cameras that gather details about passers-by — their gender, approximate age and how long they looked at the billboard. These details are transmitted to a central database.

Sexy Electric Scooter From Nissan

This is quite simple the most elegant and sexy electric scooters around that are actually on road and not still a concept visualization of some up and coming designer who spends more time on the CG pages than actually understanding the needs of those who actually need the vehicles to commute around. A large part of successful design is to make sure that you understand the needs of those who ride it, put yourself in their shoes and then make sure that you come up with the perfect amalgamation of sense, style, simplicity and utility!

U.S. TV Shows More Sex This Fall - Swingtown Turned Down by HBO

“Swingtown” is premiering on fusty CBS, so despite the lengthy sequence at a drug-fueled, partner-swapping Fourth of July bacchanal, the only real fireworks we see are the ones with fuses on them.
A frank exploration of the sexual and social liberation of the 1970s, “Swingtown” was originally meant for HBO, which ultimately passed on the show because, according to the show’s creators, the channel’s schedule was already chock-a-block with intimacy-laden shows, including the Mormon polygamy-themed “Big Love.” But CBS Entertainment president Nina Tassler intervened and wooed creator Mike Kelley and director Alan Poul to bring it to network television.
